Yawl Hillbilly's Sire Dhruv is an Arab horse society premium stallion who is the sire of several advanced Endurance horses including Dacoit who has been on the British team and has several progeny eventing/showing/racing at a high level. . All Dhruvs progeny show great stamina, good cardiovascular fitness and a trainable temperament.
His dam Burrowshot Lass is an allrounder who is an advanced endurance horse who was long listed for the intermediate endurance team in 2000, completed the 75 mile class at the Golden Horseshoe Ride and competed at riding club level in eventing and showjumping and won Stockland level 2DE and her sire was Nearly a Hand who sired several good eventers and point to pointers.
Yawl Hillbilly stands at 16hh and all his stock will be eligible to be registered with the Arab Horse Society on the part bred register. He is the ideal sire for allrounders, Eventers endurance horses and ideal for pony owners who want to breed something bigger than their mare but don’t want something too heavy.
Ultimately Billy has been bred as my next international endurance horse who I hope one day will do a 100 miles in a day however he will have a varied career as I shall event/showjump/dressage him as well as endurance. In 2008 he achieved open level as a 5yo and will be aimed at rides up to 80km in 2009 He has the most fantastic laid-back temperament and is turned out with his mum when she is in foal and is often seen sharing a stable/feed bowl with her and stables/travels next to mares. He is very quiet with his mares so is ideal for maiden mares and is so laid back even when covering. He is showing a real talent for dressage and jumping and loves to work.
His stud fee for 2009 will be £250 no foal free return
