27th July 2010

It is with the deepest regret that I have to announce that Mitsuko Masui from Japan, who was taking part at Euston Park on 11th July, has sadly died at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge. Mitsuko has been coming to Europe and the UAE to ride in Endurance since 2003. She represented Japan in Endurance at the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany aged 69, and in 2009 she completed the 120km CEI** CRON Endurance Race in Spain. She was an inspiration to riders worldwide for competing at such an advanced level at this age.
