HOW DO I JOIN?

New Members
You can join On Line
, or you can down load a membership form or you can contact the office and they will send you a membership form.
You will then receive your membership pack, handbook, membership number – all you need to be able to get out and enjoy yourself at rides.

Lapsed Members
If you are a current member, or lapsed member,  you can renew on line by using the LOGON button and selecting My Account

Horses
If you wish to compete (ie do Competitive or Endurance rides) you will need an endurance logbook for your horse (see below).
In addition your horse will need to be registered each year. Once you have joined EGB you will receive your password – this will then allow you to register your horse online or the horse registration forms can be downloaded and sent in with the rider registration form to the Endurance GB office.
If you wish only to do Non-Competitive rides then your horse does not need a log book and it does not need to be registered.

The prime objective of the discipline is the fitness and welfare of your horse at all times, and the friendly atmosphere in which it all happens.

Associate Members
You can also join your local Group as an Associate Member - full details of this scheme can be found under the Groups heading.
The Associate Membership Scheme is administered by individual Groups but the benefits will be reciprocal amongst all Groups in EGB. An Associate Member can elect to join any EGB Group not necessarily the closest Group to their address.  They must apply directly to the chosen Group who will provide enrolment forms and membership cards for their new members.

WHAT IS A LOGBOOK?

This is a record of every competitive endurance event in which your horse participates. It is unique for each animal and it has one for life, they are issued by each of the long distance riding associations ie EGB, SERC and ILDRA. Every horse participating in any competitive ride must have a log book, and this will be sent to you on registering your horse with Endurance GB.
The only exception to this is when a non member competes as part of one of our special schemes:

British Riding Club members can form a team and compete in rides of 30 – 34km as novices see BRC Team Event page for full details and rules.
Pony Club members can compete in classes of up to 40km – for details and rules see the Pony Club site.
TryBeforeYouBuy is open to non members who wish to try a maximum of two competitive rides (up to 40km), for details check out the TBYB page.
