Ride Websites - Links

Entries may be made online from the Rides Schedule page. or, alternatively made on the official entry form which can be downloaded from this website.

If entering by post individual forms for each horse should be sent with a sae to the Ride Entries Secretary.  It is important to ensure that your sae has sufficient postage and that it is of at least A5 size (162mm x 229mm). If entering on line there is a £1 p&p charge to cover return of your ride details.

Rides have both an opening and closing date and it is important to observe these - send an entry in too early and it may be returned to you ... send it late and you may be too late to get a place on the ride but, if you are lucky and are accepted, you will have to pay a £5 late entry surcharge (unless you are entering a NCR - Pleasure Ride)!  Some major rides have a ride-specific schedule in addition to the entry in the EGB Members' Handbook or on this website.

You should not expect to receive your ride details until after the close of entries, probably about a week before the event but do remember to put sufficient stamps on the sae to ensure that there is no delay.

If, for any reason, after making an entry you have to withdraw, it is possible to request a refund either online or by telephone.  To do so online, go back to your  ride management page, through your website account. 100% of an Entry fee shall be refunded if the Ride Secretary, on or before the "close of entries" date, receives notice of withdrawal in writing, online or by telephone.  50% of an Entry fee shall be refunded if notice of withdrawal is received by the Ride Secretary after close of entries and prior to the allocated veterinary inspection time, subject to production of a supporting doctor’s certificate, vet’s certificate, or photocopy of the Master Card showing that the horse has been eliminated on veterinary grounds at a ride not more than 16 days prior to the ride entered.  All requests for refunds shall be made in writing with SAE to the Ride Organiser within 10 days of the ride date.  At multi-day events, no refunds will be given once the event has commenced.

In the case of entries having been made online, refunds will be processed by a repayment to the rider’s card.  50% is payable for withdrawals after the closing date and 100% for withdrawals before the closing date.  However, this does NOT include stabling fees.  Requests for refunds must be accompanied by a vet’s or doctor’s certificate.

Notes: Ride Organisers will endeavour to process refunds within 3 weeks of receiving the request.  Refunds for stabling, camping or corralling will depend upon the arrangements in the schedule of the ride or the pre-ride information, irrespective of ride closing dates.

Substitutions for a horse or rider may be made up to half an hour before the scheduled preliminary vetting time.

Substitute riders or horses must be eligible according to the conditions of the class, and the rules of Endurance GB.
