In 2011 the series consisted of nominated multi day Competitive Rides. One ride, which should be completed successfully, must be an 80 km CR, the other ride to be a distance of choice but must be a CR of between 32km and 80km. Both classes to be declared prior to the ride closing date but the rider may downgrade on chosen distance if they wish. To compete for the Trophy a horse and rider combination must successfully complete at least three rides of the series. The winner for 2011 was Elizabeth Whiteley riding Merlyn, The runner up was Katie Bedwin riding Burfield Red Dragon The series will not be running in 2012 but should be returning in 2013 in a new exciting format – so watch this space! |
